American Society of Landscape Architects - Wisconsin Chapter's Spring Conference 2025

ATTENDANCE

3/10/2025

Last week, I had an opportunity to attend the Wisconsin Chapter ASLA Spring Conference 2025. Together with my team from Silvernail Studio for Geodesign, LLC, we enjoyed and appreciated the event greatly.

Personally, I was amazed and excited to learn about many different topics that interact with landscape architecture. Everything is interwoven! While integrating local culture and engaging communities to design places were common talks in the field, the philosophy of “resilience” or ethics in using AI was something I didn’t expect to see in an architecture event. There was also a talk about social science research that determined the different needs of girls and boys in playgrounds, which demanded us to design them more considerably to foster inclusiveness for everybody.

Having a chance to meet up and expand my network with professionals was an encouraging experience!
